Dr.G. Thiruvengita Prasad,

Having completed his under-graduate degree from Stanley Medical College, Chennai, Dr.Prasad trained under
Dr. Nandkumar Sundaram and obtained his post-graduate degree from the National Board of Examinations,
New Delhi. He has gained vast experience in orthopaedic trauma surgery and a wide exposure to joint
replacement surgeries, arthroscopic surgeries and spinal surgeries.

Dr.R.Krishna Kumar,
M.B.B.S., D.Ortho, D.N.B. (Ortho)
Registrar, Orthopaedics
Dr. Krishna Kumar, obtained his undergraduate degree in medicine from Government Mohan
Kumaramangalam Medical College, Salem. He went on to complete his D.Ortho from Tirunelveli Medical
College. He completed his DNB training in Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore (where he submitted his
dissertation on primary closure of soft tissue in open fractures of long bones) and obtained his
DNB Orthopaedic Surgery degree in 2002.
He worked as a lecturer in the Department of Orthopaedics in Arupadai Veedu Medical College,
Pondicherry for one year. He then worked as a Registrar in the Department of Orthopaedics,
Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Sankara Hospital, Chennai, for two years. He joined us in August 2005 as
Registrar.
His main body of work is in the field of trauma and spine surgery. He is well versed in the
management of open fractures, plating of humerus and forearm bones, Dynamic hip screw fixation,
Dynamic condylar screw fixation, closed interlocking nail fixation of long bones, external
fixator application, hemiarthroplasty, open reduction and internal fixation of pelvic fractures,
lumbar and cervical microdisectomy, management of spinal fractures and infections.

Dr.Dayanand Kaliaperumalr,
M.B.B.S., M.S. (Ortho) (Bulgaria)
Registrar, Orthopaedics
Dr. Dayanand Kaliaperumal obtained his undergraduate degree from Rajah Muthiah Medical College,
Annamalai University in 1997. He went on to obtain his Post-Graduate Degree from University of
Pleren, Bulgaria in 2002. During this period he gained wide exposure in Sports Medicine and
Arthroscopic Surgery. He returned to India and worked as a Registrar in Apollo Hospitals, Chennai
for one year. He then worked as Registrar in Orthopaedic Surgery at Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Sankara
Hospital, Chennai for two years.
His field of interest is Orthopaedic trauma surgeries, Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgeries.
He attended the Rapid Course in Arthroscopy held in Bulgaria in 2001-2002. He attended the A.O. Basic
course held in Bulgaria in March 2000 and the E.S.S.K.A. Workshop held in London in
September 2000. He is a member of the European Society of Sports Trauma, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy
(ESSKA).
