CASE 10:
Tuberculosis of the lateral femoral condyle



PROBLEM

26 year, male. Pain in the left knee - 2 months. Insidious onset. Increasing in severity. Continuous. Temporary relief with analgesics

On examination, Limping with antalgic gait. Effusion in the knee. No warmth. Tenderness over the lateral femoral condyle and over the lateral collateral ligament. No synovial thickening. ROM: Painful at extreme flexion

Trucut needle biopsy under image control

TUBERCULOSIS OF THE LATERAL FEMORAL CONDYLE
